देश में ओमिक्रॉन से संक्रमितों का आंकड़ा 400 से ज्यादा हो गया है. सबसे गंभीर हालात महाराष्ट्र में हैं, वहीं दिल्ली में भी स्थिति बिगड़ती दिख रही है. क्रिसमस और न्यू ईयर के मौके पर ये हालात डराने वाले हैं. गंभीरता को देखते हुए केंद्र ने फैसला किया है कि सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित 10 राज्यों में अलग-अलग टीमें तैनात की जाएंगी ताकि हालात को संभाला जा सके. पूरी दुनिया ने क्रिसमस डे पर यीशु को याद किया, चर्च सजे दिखे, प्रार्थना की गईं कि दुनिया से कोरोना महामारी का नाश हो जाए. लेकिन इस बार जश्न फीका रहा. पहली और दूसरी लहर के बाद अब ओमिक्रॉन के जरिए तीसरी लहर की आशंका भी जताई जाने लगी है. कोरोना के नए वैरिएंट ने ऐसा खौफ पैदा कर दिया है कि दुनिया दुआओं का सहारा भी ले रही है.
In the wake of omicron's rising threat, this year also a low-key celebration was witnessed on Christmas Day.
