पूर्वी दिल्ली में चोरों के हौसले इतने बुलंद हैं कि वो दिन में भी घरों में धावा बोलने से बाज नहीं आते... यहां के मंडावली इलाके में शांति मार्ग पर एक मकान के अंदर एक लड़की किचन में खाना बना रही थी और बगल के कमरे में चोर अलमारी तोड़कर गहने और पैसे चुरा रहा था. लड़की को बगल के कमरे से अलमारी तोड़ने की आवाज आई तो वो इस कमरे में गई, चोर को देखा और शोर मचाया. लेकिन फ़ौरन चोर ने किचन नाइफ़ यानी चाकू से लड़की पर हमला कर दिया और तो और इस चोर ने लड़की के साथ मारपीट भी की, और लड़की के विरोध के बावजूद कीमती चीज़ें उठाकर भाग निकला.
