निर्भया के गुनहगारों को आज नहीं होगी फांसी. पटियाला हाउस कोर्ट ने आज होने वाली फांसी के डेथ वारंट पर रोक लगाई. कोर्ट के फैसले पर निर्भया की मां आशा देवी रो पड़ीं , दुख जताते हुए कहा कि ऐसा लगता है कि दोषियों को अनंत काल तक फांसी नहीं होगी. याचिका में राष्ट्रपति के पास दया याचिका लंबित होने का हवाला दिया था. बुधवार को विनय के वकील ने राष्ट्रपति के पास दया याचिका लगाई थी. इससे पहले गुरुवार सुनवाई के दौरान बचाव पक्ष की वकील ने 1981 के मामले का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि नियम के हिसाब से किसी भी एक मामले में दोषियों को अलग अलग फांसी नहीं दी जा सकती.
The four Nirbhaya convicts, who were scheduled to be hanged on Feb 1 at 6 AM, got last minute relive as a Delhi court stayed their execution till further notice. The development comes minutes after Pawan Gupta claim of being a minor at the time of offence was dismissed by the Supreme Court. Gupta had filed a review petition before the top court challenging its earlier order of dismissal of his Juvenile plea.
