The Election Commission(EC) issued notice to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Maneka Gandhi for threatening voters in Sultanpur. In a public meeting, she threatened a group of Muslims to vote for her in the Lok Sabha elections 2019 or else face the consequences. Also, Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan may face the wrath of EC for his Bajrang Ali remark. In another case, a complaint of model code violation has been registered against BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj.
