Most parts of the country, including states such as Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Assam in the east, Maharashtra in the west and south Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have been receiving heavy rainfall over the past few days. In some of the states the situation has further worsened to turn into flood-like conditions.
