आज पंजाब मंत्रिमंडल का विस्तार हुआ है. नए मंत्रियों ने आज अपने पद की गोपनीयता की शपथ ली. चंडीगढ़ में हुए शपथग्रहण समारोह में सबसे पहले ब्रह्म मोहिंद्रा ने शपथ लिया. ब्रह्म छठवीं बार पंजाब विधानसभा में पहुंचे हैं, वो 1980 से अब तक 6 बार विधायकी का चुनाव जीते हैं. ब्रह्म वर्तमान में पटियाला देहात से विधायक हैं. ये कांग्रेस के जाने माने हिन्दू चेहरा हैं और 1987 से ही पार्टी से जुड़े हैं. ब्रह्म मोहिंद्रा कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह की सरकार में भी कैबिनेट मंत्री थे. कैप्टन के इस्तीफे के बाद चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी को पंजाब का नया मुख्यमंत्री बनाया गया है. अब पंजाब में नयी कैबिनेट का भी गठन हो रहा है.
