किसान आंदोलन पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने आज कोई आदेश जारी नहीं किया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट मे कहा कि किसान संगठनों की पूरी बात सुनने के बाद भी कोई फसैला लेगा. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सरकार से नए कृषि कानून पर फिर से विचार करने को कहा है. सुनवाई में कोर्ट ने कहा कि हम प्रदर्शन को अधिकार मानते हैं. सीजेआई ने कहा कि किसानों को प्रदर्शन का अधिकार है लेकिन लोगों के हक का उल्लंघन ना हो. कोर्ट ने कहा कि किसानों और सरकार के बीच बातचीत हो. साथ ही प्रदर्शन को नहीं रोकने की बात भी कही. कमेटी के गठन के बारे में कोर्ट सोच रहा है. CJI ने कहा कि इस कवायद के बीच हम ये भी सुनिश्चित करना चाहते है कि किसी भी नागरिक के अधिकारों का हनन न हो. प्रशासन इस बात का ख्याल रखे कि प्रदर्शन चलता रहे लेकिन रास्ता जाम कर के नहीं. पुलिस हिंसा ना करे.
As a Delhi-based petitioner objects to the farmers’ protest causing public harassment, CJI says, “We recognise the fundamental right to protest against a law. There is no question of curtailing it. We can look at it from the point of view that it should not result in damage to anyone's life.” SC has said right to free speech does not mean shouting fire in a closed theatre. The right to free speech extends to right to know. If the right to free speech does not extend to preventing others from exercising their rights, says court.
