यहां सवाल ये है कि चीन पैंगॉन्ग झील से पीछे क्यों नहीं हटना चाहता. इसका जवाब आपको बताते हैं. सबसे पहले पैंगॉन्ग झील की भौगोलिक स्थिति को समझ लेते हैं. ये झील 14000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर है और इसकी लंबाई 135 किलोमीटर है. ये संकरी झील है और इसकी अधिकतम चौड़ाई 6 किलोमीटर है. सर्दियों में जम जाने वाली पैंगॉन्ग झील लेह से 54 किलोमीटर दूर है. पैंगॉन्ग झील के 2 तिहाई हिस्से पर चीन का नियंत्रण है. झील की सिर्फ 45 किलोमीटर लंबाई पर भारतीय नियंत्रण है, जबकि 90 किलोमीटर इलाका चीनी नियंत्रण में है. पैंगॉन्ग के फिंगर 8 तक भारत अपना अधिकार क्षेत्र मानता है, फिंगर 4 तक चीन अपना अधिकार क्षेत्र मानता है. पूरी LAC पर सिर्फ पैंगॉन्ग पर ही भारत-चीन के बीच जल सीमा है. देखें वीडियो.
