तालिबान की सरकार आने के बाद महिलाओं पर जोर जुल्म का सिलसिला पहले हफ्ते में ही शुरू हो गया था. साफ हो गया था कि तालिबान महिलाओं के हकों को लेकर बातें चाहे बड़ी-बड़ी करे लेकिन उसके असल इरादे कुछ और हैं. इसके बावजूद अफगानिस्तान में महिलाएं दम साधे इस बात का इंतजार करती रहीं कि तालिबान को अक्ल आएगी और वो अपने वादों के मुताबिक महिलाओं के लिए कुछ नरमी दिखाएगा. लेकिन अब ये उम्मीद धुंधला रही है और यही वजह है कि काबुल की सड़कों पर नारेबाजी करने के बाद ये महिलाएं महिला मामलों के मंत्रालय की उस इमारत के बाहर पहुंची जिस पर अब ताला जडा जा चुका है.ज्यादा जानकारी के लिए देखें वीडियो.
The Taliban on Saturday replaced the sign at the entrance of the Ministry of Women Affairs building with the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.
