यूपी चुनाव की सरगर्मी शुरू हुई है तो किसान आंदोलन की राजनीति भी गरम हो रही है और इस किसान आंदोलन की राजनीति ने यूपी की चुनावी पॉलिटिक्स में दखल देना शुरू किया है. किसान नेता राकेश टिकैत ने यूपी के मुसलमानों पर डोरे डाल रहे AIMIM चीफ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी पर निशाना साधा है, और उन्हें बीजेपी का चचाजान कह दिया है. राकेश टिकैत की राजनीति उस जाट-मुस्लिम एकजुटता को बनाए रखने की है, जिसने पश्चिमी यूपी में बीजेपी के लिए मुश्किल पैदा कर दी है. वहीं दूसरी ओर किसानों को साधने के लिए बीजेपी भी भरपूर प्रयास कर रही है. आज दंगल में इसी मुद्दे पर बहस के दौरान जब भारतीय जनता पार्टी के प्रवक्ता से ये पूछा गया कि अब बीजेपी को यूपी में किसान सम्मेलन करने की क्या जरूरत पड़ गई? इस पर देखें क्या बोले आरपी सिंह.
BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said that All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi and BJP were a "team", adding that the farmers needed to understand their moves and called Asaduddin Owaisi the "chacha Jaan" of BJP.
