कश्मीर में महात्मा गांधी की 153वीं जयंती से पहले स्कूलों में सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों की रूपरेखा तैयार की गई थी. उसी के सिलसिले में स्कूली बच्चों से बापू का प्रिय भजन का गायन कराया जा रहा था. पीडीपी नेता महबूबा मुफ्ती ने बापू के भजन को एजेंडा बता दिया. मुफ्ती ने बापू के रघुपति राघव राजा राम वाले भजन को भारत सरकार का हिंदुत्व वाला एजेंडा करार दे दिया.
Before the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, cultural programs were designed in schools in Kashmir. School children were made to sing Bapu's favorite Bhajan. But this did not go down well with PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti and she called the Hindutva agenda of the govt.
