भोलेनाथ की नगरी वाराणसी में भी गंगा नदी रौद्र रूप दिखा रही हैं. बुधवार को वाराणसी में गंगा नदी 72 मीटर के निशान को पार कर गई. ऐसा 8 साल में पहली बार हुआ. 11 अगस्त 2013 को गंगा ने 72 मीटर की सीमा को लांघा था. अब गंगा हर घंटे एक सेंटीमीटर बढ़ रही है. गुरुवार को गंगा 72.31 मीटर पर उफान रही थी. नतीजा ये हुआ कि बाढ़ का पानी अलग-अलग रास्तों से शहर में दाखिल होने लगा है. गांवों का हाल तो और खराब है. बाढ़ से घिरे गांव के लोग घर-बार छोड़ने को मजबूर हैं. बाढ़ से बर्बादी झेल रहे लोगों का गुस्सा भी सामने आ रहा है.
