कांग्रेस नेता शशि थरूर एक बार फिर अपने बयान को लेकर चर्चा में हैं. इस बार उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को लेकर बयान दिया है, जिसकी वजह से विवाद होता जा रहा है. विवाद के बाद थरूर को सफाई भी पेश करना पड़ी. भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री जवाहर लाल नेहरू की जयंती की पूर्व संध्या एक कार्यक्रम में शशि थरूर ने कहा कि आज अगर एक 'चायवाला' देश का प्रधानमंत्री है, तो वो नेहरू के कारण ही हैं. क्योंकि पंडित नेहरु ने देश के लोकतांत्रिक संस्थानों को इतना मजूबत बनाया कि कोई भी व्यक्ति देश के सर्वोच्च पद पर पहुंचने का सपना देख सकता है.
