मध्य प्रदेश में बीजेपी ने सांसदों-केंद्रीय मंत्रियों और संगठन के बड़े नेताओं को टिकट तो दे दिया लेकिन नेता जी चुनाव नहीं लड़ना चाहते. कैलाश विजय़वर्गीय कह रहे हैं कि 'मेरी तो इच्छा ही नहीं है चुनाव लड़ने की. अब तो मैं बड़ा नेता बन गया हूं चुनाव की इच्छा नहीं है लेकिन पार्टी ने टिकट दे दिया. विजयवर्गीय ने कहा कि अब कौन जाकर वोट के लिए हाथ जोड़े. टिकट मुझे दे दिया है पर अंदर से खुश नहीं हूं.'
