जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन करा शादी-शुदा उम्रदराज शख्स से निकाह कराने का मामला कश्मीर घाटी तक पहुंच गया है. सिख समुदाय दिल्ली से लेकर श्रीनगर तक इसके खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल चुका है और इसपर राजनीति भी गरमा गई है. सिख समाज का आरोप है कि श्रीनगर में दो सिख लड़कियों को बंदूक की नोक पर किडनैप किया गया और फिर उनका निकाह उम्र में काफी बड़े, दूसरे धर्म के शख्स से करा दिया गया. पीडीपी की अध्यक्ष महबूबा मुफ्ती ने ट्ववीट करके कहा है कि इस घटना को लेकर वो दुखी हैं। जांच एजेंसियां जल्द सच का पता लगाए।
Protests broke out in Kashmir after reports surfaced about two Sikh girls who were allegedly kidnapped and then forcefully converted. Sri Akal Takhat Sahib requested the Lieutenant-Governor in Jammu and Kashmir to bring in a law to prevent forceful religious conversions.
