देश मे यूनिफार्म सिविल कोड लागू होना चाहिए. आर्टिकल 44 में यूनिफार्म सिविल कोड की जो उम्मीद जतायी गयी थी अब उसे केवल उम्मीद नही रहना चाहिए बल्कि उसे हकीकत में बदल देना चाहिए. दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने ये टिप्पणी तलाक के एक मामले में फैसला सुनाते वक्त की. दरअसल, कोर्ट के सामने ये सवाल खड़ा हो गया था कि तलाक को हिन्दू मैरिज एक्ट के मुताबिक माना जाए या फिर मीणा जनजाति के नियम के मुताबिक. कोर्ट ने कहा आज का हिंदुस्तान धर्म, जाति, कम्युनिटी से ऊपर उठ चुका है. इस लिहाज से देश मे यूनिफार्म सिविल कोड लागू होना चाहिए. देखें वीडियो.
