बीएसपी समाजवादी पार्टी ने भी ब्राह्मण सम्मलेन करने की घोषणा कर दी जिसकी शुरुआत 23 अगस्त से बलिया से होगी. इससे पहले अयोध्या में कुछ दिनों पहले ही बीएसपी ने भी ब्राह्मण सम्मलेन किया था. पिछले दो चुनावों में ब्राह्मणों ने बीजेपी को छप्पर फाड़कर वोट दिया है और बीएसपी-एसपी के सामने बीजेपी के इसी परंपरागत वोट बैंक को तोड़ने की चुनौती है. यही वजह है कि अब दोनों विपक्षी दल यूपी में ब्राह्मणों को रिझाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. वहीं दूसरी ओर बीजेपी ने इस मसले पर समाजवादी पार्टी और बीएसपी पर जमकर निशाना साधते हुए जातिवादी राजनीति का आरोप लगाया है. देखें वीडियो.
