राज्यसभा में तीन तलाक बिल पर सरकार और विपक्ष के बीच घमासान जारी है. राज्यसभा की कार्यवाही 2 बजे तक स्थगित कर दी गई. बीजेपी, कांग्रेस,टीडीपी ने अपने राज्यसभा सदस्यों को व्हिप जारी किया. सूत्रों के मुताबिक राज्यसभा में बिल पेश किए जाने पर जेडीयू सांसद सदन में मौजूद नहीं रहेंगे. विपक्ष की मांग है कि तीन तलाक बिल की खामियां दूर करने के लिए सरकार इसे सेलेक्ट कमिटी को भेजे.

The Rajya Sabha has started discussing the triple talaq bill that was passed by the Lok Sabha on Thursday. The Opposition is demanding that the bill should be sent to a select committee. The debate is expected to be a heated one since most opposition parties have said they will oppose it. The bill seeks to make the practice of instant triple talaq among Muslims a criminal offence with three year imprisonment.
