श्रीलंका में आर्थिक तंगी से त्रस्त जनता का गुस्सा एक बार फिर फूट पड़ा. देश की बदहाली से गुस्साए लोगों ने राष्ट्रपति गोटबाया राजपक्षे के आवास पर कब्जा कर लिया. खुद राष्ट्रपति को आवास छोड़कर भागने को मजबूत कर दिया. वहीं राष्ट्रपति भवन को भी जनता ने चारो तरफ से घेर लिया, भारी संख्या में भीड़ राष्ट्रपति भवन के अंदर भी घुस गई. पूरा कोलंबो विद्रोह की आग में झुलस रहा है. सड़कों पर सेना और पब्लिक की झड़पों की तस्वीरें आने लगी. प्रदर्शनकारी हर हाल में राष्ट्रपति के इस्तीफे की मांग कर रहे हैं और इसी वजह से श्रीलंका में हालात लगातार खराब हो रहे हैं. शंखनाद में देखें श्रीलंका पर स्पेशल कवरेज.
