प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने रविवार को गांधीनगर में अपनी मां हीराबेन से मिले, उन्होंने मां के चरणों को छूकर उनका आशीर्वाद लिया. प्रचंड जीत के बाद दिल्ली से पहली बार मोदी बाहर निकले और गांधीनगर में अपनी मां हीराबेन से मिलने पहुंचे. मां हीराबेन ने दोनों हाथों से बेटे के सिर को धू कर अपना पूरा आशीष मोदी पर उढेल दिया. मोदी पहले भी हर अहम मौकों पर अपनी मां से मिलने, उनका आशीर्वाद लेने गांधीनगर उनके घर जाते रहे हैं. एक बार फिर जनता के भारी समर्थन के बाद उन्होंने मां की ओर रुख किया.
