आनंद मोहन सिंह को देश के इतिहास में पहली बार एक विधायक रहते हुए किसी अदालत ने फांसी की सजा सुनाई थी. लेकिन फांसी की वो सजा पहले आजीवन कारावास की सजा में बदली और अब आजीवन कारावास की सजा होने के बावजूद बिहार सरकार के एक फैसले से उसे रिहाई मिल गई. देखें वारदात.
