कहते हैं जितना काला धन विदेशों में है उससे भी कहीं ज़्यादा देश में है. जिसे निकालने के लिए इनकम टैक्स डिपार्टमेंट वक्त वक्त पर छापे मारती रहती है. ये काला धन कभी घर से निकलता है तो कभी दुकान से, कभी ज़मीन से, तो कभी छत से, कभी बिस्तर के नीचे से तो कभी बाथरूम या दीवार से. मगर इस बार तो हद ही हो गई. खजाना ऐसी जगह छुपाया जहां सैकड़ों लोग सो रहे थे. मगर चूंकि वो बोल नहीं पाते लिहाज़ा छुपाना आसान हो गया. देश के इतिहास में शायद पहली बार इनकम टैक्स डिपार्टमेंट ने एक अनोखी रेड मारी. ये छापा कब्रिस्तान में पड़ा. फिर छापे के दौरान जब एक कब्र खोदा गया तो उसमें से निकला 433 करोड़ रुपये का खजाना.
Black money hoarders often concoct bizarre ways to hide their undeclared incomes and in one such case, Income Tax officials literally unearthed over Rs 400 crore after digging up a graveyard in Chennai. The incident occurred during I-T department raids on realty firms GSquare, Lotus Group and Saravana Stores 'brahmandamai' according to a report in The Times of India. It was reported that I-T sleuths had to continue digging for over a week and were shocked to find cash, diamonds, gold and documents worth several crores.
