लव जेहाद के खिलाफ बनासकांठा में जनआक्रोश रैली निकाली गई. रैली में बीजेपी विधायक सहित हजारों लोग शामिल हुए. पुलिस ने प्रदर्शनकारियों पर लाठीचार्ज भी किया. बनासकांठा में एक मुस्लिम शख्स ने हिन्दू युवती से शादी की. इसके बाद युवती और उसकी मां का धर्म परिवर्तन करवाया गया. लड़की के पिता ने इसका विरोध किया था. मामला सामने आया तो सियासत गरमा गई. हिंदू संगठनों के विरोध रैली में बीजेपी भी शामिल हो गई.
