जब सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एससी-एसटी कानून में बदलाव किया था तो इसपर अनुसूचित जाति और जनजाति के लोग भड़क गए थे. उनका भारत बंद हुआ. विरोध हुआ तो सरकार ने संसद से इस कानून को दोबारा लागू करवा दिया कि दलितों के खिलाफ अत्याचार पर तुरंत गिरफ्तारी होगी. इस पर अब अगड़ी जातियां सरकार को आंखें दिखा रही हैं.
