सेंट्रल अमेरिकी देश अल सल्वाडोर ने दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी क्रिप्टोकरेंसी, बिटकॉइन को देश की वैध मुद्रा बनाने वाले बिल को मंजूरी दे दी है. अल सल्वाडोर बिटकॉइन को वैध करेंसी घोषित करने वाला दुनिया का पहला देश बना है. अल साल्वाडोर में अमेरिकी डॉलर पहले की तरह वैध मुद्रा बनी रहेगी. बिटकॉइन का उपयोग दूसरी करेंसी के तौर पर होगा. देखें
El Salvador has become the first country to approve Bitcoin as the official currency. The El Salvador Congress on June 9 approved a bill making Bitcoin a legal tender in the country. The announcement was made by El Salvador President Nayib Bukele through Twitter.
