संयुक्त राष्ट्र के प्रमुख एंटोनियो गुटेरेस ने सुरक्षा परिषद की बैठक में कहा था कि हमास ने इज़राइल पर हमला बिना किसी कारण नहीं किया है. इस बयान से इज़राइल नाराज़ हो गया. इज़राइल के राजदूत गिलाद एर्दान ने कहा कि गुटेरेस संयुक्त राष्ट्र जैसी संस्था का नेतृत्व करने में सक्षम नहीं हैं. उन्होंने गुटेरेस से तुरंत इस्तीफ़ा देने की मांग की. इज़राइल के विदेश मंत्री ने भी गुटेरेस के इस्तीफ़े की मांग की. देखें ये वीडियो.
UN chief Antonio Guterres had said in the Security Council meeting that Hamas did not attack Israel without any reason. Israel became angry with this statement.
