पाकिस्तान की इमरान खान की सत्ता पलटने में विपक्ष के संघर्ष के अलावा पाकिस्तान की सुप्रीम कोर्ट की बहुत बड़ी भूमिका है. इसकी सबसे बड़ी वजह ये है कि पाकिस्तान सुप्रीम कोर्ट बिना किसी पूर्वाग्रह या दबाब में आये कानून के साथ खड़ा रहा. वैसे पाकिस्तान में कानून जैसा शब्द सिर्फ़ किताबों और भाषणों सुनाई देता है लेकिन पाकिस्तान के सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपनी ये छवि बना रखी है कि वो केवल संविधान के अनुसार चलती है. दरअसल पाकिस्तान के सुप्रीम कोर्ट का टर्निंग प्वाइंट भी तब आया जब 2001 में जनरल परवेज मुशर्रफ ने देश का राष्ट्रपति बनने के बाद संविधान बदला दिया.
