पंजाब में विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले कांग्रेस सरकार ने किसानों को बड़ा तोहफा दिया है. मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी ने आज किसानों की कर्जमाफी का ऐलान किया है. उन्होंने बताया कि किसानों का 2 लाख रुपये तक का कर्ज माफ किया जाएगा. साथ ही भूमिहीन मजदूरों के कर्ज भी माफ होंगे. उन्होंने बताया कि पंजाब सरकार कर्जदार किसानों के खातों में 2 हजार करोड़ रुपये जमा करवाएगी. ये रकम अगले 10 से 15 दिन में पहुंच जाएगी. देखें

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi announced on Friday that farmers will be given a loan waiver of upto Rs 2 lakh and that land mortgages will also be waived in the next 10 days. "The Punjab government has decided to waive loans of farmers who have loans upto Rs 2 lakh on their heads. The land mortgage will also be waived. The amount will be deposited in the accounts of farmers in the next 10-15 days. Rs 2,000 crore has been set aside for farmers," Charanjit Singh Channi said in a press conference on Friday.
