Abdul Qadir on Sachin TendulkarAbdul Qadir told actually what happened was it was a one-day game and at the end of the day because of the rain, there was a huge crowd which had gathered, so the organisers decided to make it a 30-overs per side game. India won the toss and elected to bat. Out came Kris Srikkanth and Sachin Tendulkar. When I came in to bowl Srikkanth was on strike. I bowled a maiden to Srikkanth. After the over I went to Sachin and said, "this is not a one-day international match so you should try and hit me for a six in the next over. And if you succeed you will become a star". He didn't say anything to me but the next over he hit me for three sixes. At the other end Mushtaq Ahmed was bowling and Sachin hit him for four sixes.
