देश के चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल बिपिन रावत का हेलिकॉप्टर तमिलनाडु के कुन्नूर में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया. जब यह हादसा हुआ, उस दौरान CDS बिपिन रावत के अलावा उनकी पत्नी और सेना के अन्य अधिकारी भी हेलिकॉप्टर में मौजूद थे. हादसे के फौरन बाद रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन शुरू हो गया है. सूत्रों के अनुसार, सेना के इस हेलिकॉप्टर पर कुल 14 लोग सवार थे. अब तक 11 लोगों के शव बरामद किए गए हैं. हेलिकॉप्टर क्रैश होने के बाद आसपास धुआं उठता देखा गया. वहां पहुंचते ही देखा गया कि जंगल में सीडीएस के क्षतिग्रस्त हेलिकॉप्टर का मलबा बिखरा पड़ा था. जानकारी के अनुसार तीन अधिकारियों को अभी तक बचा लिया गया है. घायलों को नीलगिरी के कैंटॉनमेंट ले जाया गया है. घायलों को बचाने के लिए स्थानीयों ने चादर-कंबलों से अस्थाई स्ट्रेचर बनाया और अस्पताल ले गए. देखें ये वीडियो.
