The two Maharashtra politicians have entered into a war of words with allegations related to drug trafficking and purchase of land from terror convicts. Fadnavis alleged that Malik had links with the underworld. At a press conference, he presented documents purportedly showing that Malik and his family had purchased in 2005 a 2.8-acre plot from Mohammad Salim Patel, an aide of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s late sister Haseena Parkar, and Sardar Shawali Khan, a convict in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case.
