हावड़ा हिंसा पर बंगाल सीएम ममता बनर्जी ने बयान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा, "तलवार और बुलडोजर के साथ शोभायात्रा न‍िकालने का अध‍िकार आपको क‍िसने द‍िया? जवाब तो मैं दूंगी, मुंहतोड़ जवाब, जो रूट आपके ल‍िए तय क‍िया गया था, उसे कैसे बदला? आपने अनऑथराइट रूट का इस्तेमाल क‍िया है, एक समुदाय को नुकसान पहुंचाने और हमला करने के ल‍िए..."

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has commented on Howrah's violence. She said, "They have been hiring goons from outside the state to orchestrate communal riots. Nobody has stopped their processions but they do not have the right to march with swords and bulldozers. How did they get the audacity to do this in Howrah?"
