चाय बागान के मजदूरों की मुश्किलों पर बात कर कोई करता नजर आता है, लेकिन काम नहीं. मजदूर बागानों में जितनी चाय की पत्तियां तोड़ते हैं, उसी के हिसाब से उन्हें पैसे दिए जाते हैं. तकरीबन 13 किलो की पत्तियां तोड़ने के बाद 200 के करीब रुपये मिलते हैं. जलपाईगुड़ी के चाय बागानों की मुश्किलें हर जगह एक जैसी ही हैं. उन्हें लगातार 8 घंटे तक काम करना पड़ता है, लेकिन मजदूरी बेहद कम मिलती है. कुछ बागान के मजदूरों के पास सिर पर छत तक नहीं हैं. सरकारें इनके लिए वादे तो करती हैं, लेकिन काम के नाम पर कुछ नहीं मिलता. वहीं कुछ लोगों को उज्जवला योजना के लिए 2500 रुपये तक चुकाने पड़े. आज तक से खास बातचीत में देखें मजदूरों का दर्द, इस वीडियो में.
