Nitish Kumar

Nitish Kumar has been the Chief Minister of Bihar since 2005 and is credited with the state’s leap in development. A former Union Minister, he gained popularity by initiating a series of infrastructural activities including building of long-delayed bridges, re-laying roads that had ceased to exist. He also appointed more than 100,000 school teachers, ensured that doctors worked in primary health centers and brought about major changes in policing to check Bihar’s ever rising crime graph.
