CAB में श्रीलंकाई तमिल शरणार्थियों को जगह नहीं, शाह ने बताई वजह

राज्य सभा में नागरिकता बिल पर बहस के बीच विपक्ष ने केंद्र सरकार पर जमकर निशाना साधा. बहस के दौरान यह सवाल भी उठा कि आखिर इस बिल से क्यों श्रीलंका से आए तमिलों को बाहर रखा गया है. श्रीलंका से आए तमिल शरणार्थियों को बिल में नहीं लेने की वजह बताते हुए गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि श्रीलंका से आए 8 से 9 लाख तमिलों को पहले भी नागरिकता दी जा चुकी है. देखें वीडियो.

Home Minister Amit Shah tabled the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. As he tabled the bill questions by different leaders were raised over the expulsion of Sri Lankan Tamils Hindus from the bill. Replying to these questions, Amit Shah said, in past 8 to 9 lakh Tamils from Sri Lanka were given Indian citizenship. It was done earlier when refugees came from Sri Lanka. Watch video.
