दिल्ली में लौटी '100 साल पुरानी' सर्दी

पूरे उत्तर भारत में कड़ाके की सर्दी पड़ रही है. दिल्ली और आसपास के इलाको में सर्दी के 100 साल पुराने तेवर दिख रहे हैं, मौसम विभाग का कहना है सर्दी का रिकॉर्ड टूट सकता है. सबसे सर्द दिसंबर का ये अनुमान वैसे तो दिल्ली एनसीआर के लिए है, लेकिन हालात पूरे उत्तरभारत में करीब करीब यही हैं. राजस्थान मे ऐसी ठंड पड़ रही है कि खेतों में बर्फ जम गई है, रेत के टीलों पर भी सफेदी की परत चढ़ गई है, गाड़ियों मकान की छतों हर जगह बर्फ ही बर्फ है...रेगिस्तान वाला राजस्थान बर्फिस्तान में तब्दील हो गया है.

With a numbing cold continuing to sweep through Delhi-NCR, the region is expected to record its second-coldest December since 1901, the weather department said on Thursday. The mean maximum temperature for December was less than 20 degrees Celsius only in 1919, 1929, 1961 and 1997, an official of the India Meteorological Department said. In December this year, the mean maximum temperature (MMT) till Thursday was 19.85 degrees Celsius. It is expected to dip to 19.15 degrees Celsius by December 31, he said.
