दिल्ली में एक और 1984 होने नहीं देंगे: हाई कोर्ट

दिल्ली हिंसा मामले में हाई कोर्ट में फिर से सुनवाई शुरू हो गई है. हाई कोर्ट ने तल्ख टिप्पणी करते हुए कहा कि दिल्ली में दूसरे '1984' को नहीं होने देंगे. 1984 में सिख दंगा हुआ था, जिसमें सैकड़ों लोग मारे गए थे. इससे पहले दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने दिल्ली पुलिस को फटकार लगाया और बीजेपी नेताओं का वीडियो देखा गया.  दिल्ली हिंसा पर हाई कोर्ट की सख्त टिप्पणी पर केंद्र सरकार के वकील सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने बताया कि डीसीपी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए हैं,  एक कांस्टेबल की जान भी जा चुकी है. पुलिस अधिकारी के सिर में चोट लगी है और वह वेंटिलेटर पर है.

We cannot let another 1984-like event happen in this country, Justice S Muralidhar of the Delhi High Court said today, in a strongly-worded message to the government - at the centre and in Delhi - to work together to combat unrelenting violence that has consumed parts of the national capital for a fourth consecutive day today. At least 21 people have been killed, including an Intelligence Bureau officer whose body was found from a drainpipe in Jaffrabad, and more than 180 have been injured in the clashes.
