सेना में महिलाओं और पुरुषों को बराबरी का अधिकार: SC

सेना में 73 साल से इस अर्धसत्य के साथ प्रयोग जारी था कि औरत और मर्द बराबर हैं. लेकिन ऐसा था नहीं. महिलाओं को स्थायी कमीशन नहीं दिया जाता था. आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इसे लेकर केंद्र सरकार को फटकार लगाई है. कोर्ट ने कहा कि सामाजिक और मानसिक कारण बताकर महिला अधिकारियों के साथ ये सलूक स्वीकार करने के लायक नहीं. देखें ये रिपोर्ट.

In a historic judgment, the Supreme Court on Monday directed the Centre to ensure that women officers are given permanent commission (PC) in the Army, while adding that the officers will be now eligible for command posting. Supreme Court said, the contentions of Centre, regarding the issue of physiological limitations and social norms to deny an opportunity to women officers is disturbing and can't be accepted. Also, Centre by not giving permanent commission to women officers, had prejudiced the case, the court added.
