आजतक पंजाबः सिद्धू के खिलाफ फिर खुलेगा रोडरेज मामला

पंजाब सरकार में मंत्री नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू को 30 साल पुराने रो़ड रेज मामले में बड़ा झटका लगा है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट सिद्धू को सुनाई गई सजा पर फिर से विचार करने पर सहमत हो गया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सिद्धू को नोटिस जारी कर जवाब भी मांगा है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 15 मई को पंजाब और हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट के उस आदेश को रद्द कर दिया था जिसमें उन्हें गैर इरादतन हत्या का दोषी पाया गया था और उन्हें तीन वर्ष जेल की सजा सुनाई गई थी. कोर्ट ने हालांकि उन पर आईपीसी की धारा 323 के तहत एक हजार रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया था.Road rage case against Navjot Singh SidhuThe Supreme Court has agreed to entertain a petition seeking review of its May 15 verdict that let off Navjot Singh Sidhu with Rs 1,000 fine in a 1988 road rage case in which a Patiala resident Gurnam Singh died, saying there was no sufficient evidence to prove the harsher charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against him.
