On first day of kumbh, Shahi Snana marks the beginning of the festival, is one of the sacred bathing days of the 50-day Kumbh Mela. This festival traditionally called Ardh Kumbh as it takes place twice in 12 years but the UP government of Yogi Adityanath recently renamed it Kumbh. About 12 crore people are going to reach prayagraj on this occasion.
