ऑस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटरों ने बढ़ाई क्रिकेट की इज्जतः सौरव गांगुली

क्रिकेटर फिलिप ह्यूज को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए आजतक ने खास इंतजाम किया है. ऑस्ट्रेलिया के मैक्सविल में उनकी अंत्येष्टि के दौरान आजतक के स्टूडियो से सौरव गांगुली, चेतन चौहान, आरपी सिंह, प्रवीण कुमार और अतुल वासन जैसे दिग्गज क्रिकेटरों ने ह्यूज को श्रद्धांजलि दी.

पूर्व क्रिकेटर चेतन चौहान ने इस दौरान कहा, 'फिलिप ह्यूज की मौत नहीं हुई है वो शहीद हुए हैं.' वहीं तेज गेंदबाज प्रवीण कुमार ने कहा, 'बाउंसर गेंद किसी को चोट पहुंचाने के लिए नहीं होती है. फिलप ह्यूज शानदार खिलाड़ी थे.'

तेज गेंदबाज आरपी सिंह ने कहा, 'मुझे नहीं लगता कि क्रिकेट में बाउंसर गेंद खत्म हो जाएगी. इस घटना से गेंदबाजों की मानसिकता पर फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा.' पूर्व कप्तान सौरव गांगुली ने कहा, 'जिस तरह से ऑस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटरों ने फिलिप ह्यूज की मौत के बाद उनके लिए इतना प्यार दिखाया है उससे क्रिकेट की इज्जत और बढ़ गई है. यह एक दोस्त की मौत है. लेकिन मुझे नहीं लगता कि बाउंसर गेंद क्रिकेट से खत्म हो पाएगी. बाउंसर गेंद क्रिकेट में जारी रहेगी.'

इरफान पठान ने कहा, 'हम बल्लेबाज को घायल करने के लिए बाउंसर नहीं फेंकते हैं. इस हादसे से गेंदबाजों की सोच पर फर्क पड़ेगा. लेकिन गेंदबाज इस सदमे से उभर कर वापसी करेंगे.'
