खबरें काम की: अभी चलते रहेंगे बिना चिप वाले ATM कार्ड

अगर आपके पास भी बिना चिप वाले एटीएम कार्ड हैं, तो आपको परेशान होने की जरूरत नहीं है. नए साल में भी बिना चिप वाले एटीएम कार्ड चलते रहेंगे. पहले ऐसी खबरें आई थीं कि बिना चिप वाले एटीएम कार्ड 31 दिसंबर के बाद और नए साल में नहीं चलेंगे.  दरअसल रिजर्व बैंक ने सभी बैंकों को 31 दिसंबर तक अपने मैग्स्ट्रिप वाले डेबिट और क्रेडिट कार्ड को ईएमवी आधारित चिप कार्ड में बदलने का निर्देश दिया था. ऐसा नहीं करने पर इसके बाद सभी मैग्स्ट्रिप कार्ड्स को ब्लॉक कर देने की बात कही गई थी.

Good news for ATM users. Cards that have not been upgraded from magstripe to the new EMV chip cards will not stop working in 2019. Earlier, it was told that account holders with magstripe cards will be denied services at ATMs. The only way they can enjoy services is by upgrading to the new card. Also, SBI issued advisory to its customers asking them to replace their cards is in line with the RBI directive that all magstripe cards will have to be exchanged with EMV chip cards by 31 December 2018.
